Deluxe Tour of Italy
October 8- October
21, 2005
Twelve of us had 12 sunny comfortable days in Rome, Tuscany &
Venice. We visited Cortona, Montepulciano, Florence, Siena, San
Gimignano to mention a few. In Rome one night we had dinner
in a restaurant that was just like having dinner at Grandma's house.
Some of us got a hug at the door as we entered. We also
enjoyed a Tuscan meal together in Cortona and checked out Burano
together while we were in Venice. Jill even found a restaurant
that served fish and chips! (Private joke.) If all this talk of food
raises a question, the answer is yes -- the food was great!
A couple of us enjoyed the opera in Rome and Venice and one of us
managed to check out every church we got near. She even managed
to lock herself in one of them! It was ok . Lynne rescued her.
All in all we had a good time and we all got home safe and sound.

Deluxe Tour of Italy
April 2 - 15, 2005
This small group (part of group not in picture) spent twelve
nights in Rome, Orvieto Tuscany and Venice. We visited Florence,
Siena, San Gimignano and other Tuscan towns and villages. Our
days were mixed with visits to special places and plenty of free time
to explore. It didn't take long for everyone to bond and have some
really fun dinners together.
As we waved goodbye to them in Venice we knew we would miss them.
One good thing is that several of them have signed up for future trips with us so we have that to look forward to. Ciao!

Cinque Terre & Hilltop Villages of Tuscany and Umbria
April 21 - May 1, 2005
Our second group in April 2005 really enjoyed the places we went - I'd say especially the restaurants.
We had some pretty good seafood in Cinque Terre.
Cortona was also a big hit. I've heard talk that Suzie may just move there!

English Cathedral & Countryside
July 2004
Twenty one members of the First United Methodist Church of
Colleyville went with us to the English countryside in search of the
most beautiful Cathedrals in England. Along the way we visited
castles, the Stonehenge, the Cotswolds, ancient York, Viking Museums
and we shopped in Harrods.
Four of our group got up early every morning and had walked all over
the place before most of us were ready for our breakfast.
One lady checked out nearly every antique store we went by and there
was one gentleman who didn't want to miss any railroad museums. (
He didn't miss any.)
What fun we had! |
